What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Websites for Couriers is run by [legal name: your name, or your company name and number], [postal address: home, or a registered office or mail-forwarding address]. We are responsible for the information described here. Contact us about anything on this page at hello@websitesforcouriers.co.uk.

What we collect

  • When you message us: your name, email, phone number if you give it, and your message.
  • When you buy: your name, email and business name. Stripe handles your card details; we never see them.
  • When you answer our questions: facts about your business, such as contact details, services, areas, insurance and reviews, plus any photos and logo you upload. We remove hidden location data from photos when we process them.
  • When you ask for changes: what you tell us in your request.

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies to process payments safely.

Why we use it

  • To build, run and change your website, and to bill you. (We need it for our contract with you.)
  • To reply to your messages. (Our legitimate interest in answering you.)
  • To keep records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

We don't sell your information or use it for anyone else's marketing.

Who helps us

We use a small number of trusted providers, only for the jobs below:

  • Stripe to take payments.
  • Cloudflare to host websites and store answers and photos.
  • Resend to send our emails.
  • Anthropic, whose AI tools help us write your website from your answers. We check every site before you see it.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved for UK data protection.

Your customers' information

When someone uses the quote form or contact buttons on a courier's site, that information belongs to the courier. We pass it on to them and handle it only on their behalf.

How long we keep it

  • Your business details and site: while you're a customer, then up to 12 months after.
  • Payment records: 6 years, as the law requires.
  • Messages from people who don't become customers: up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and we'll reply within a month. Email us at hello@websitesforcouriers.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
